Having swept the awards circuit and bagging an Academy Award on the way out, the much awaited sequel for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is set to drop in summer next year. Have a look at all the new Spider-people from the latest trailer.
The Sony Pictures Animation and Columbia Pictures production is set in a shared multiverse of alternate universes called the "Spider-Verse". Here’s a trailer for the film:
In the second chapter of the Spider-Verse franchise, Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is reunited with Gwen Stacy and is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
Over four years in the making, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s next story features the most on-screen Spiders yet - probably more than we have ever witnessed before. Apart from Oscar Isaac's previously revealed Spider-Man 2099, Issa Rae's Spider-Woman, Daniel Kaluyaa's Spider-Punk Sung Kang's Japanese Spider-Man as well as Dhanush's Pavitr Prabhakar are some of the new voiced characters featuring in the film.
Here are all the Spiders, fresh and familiar, from the first look:
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse releases June 2, 2023.
