Wearing a one-of-a-kind Dolce & Gabbana lace mini-dress, Kourtney Kardashian married Blink-182’s Travis Barker on May 22 in Portofino, Italy. The wedding took place at a home on Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s estate, called Villa Olivetta.
Kardashian wore a silk lace corset and satin gown and a dramatic hand-embroidered veil, inspired by Italian lingerie and la dolce vita. The bride’s long tulle veil was inspired by flowers of the Portofino gardens. The veil has a large depiction of the Virgin Mary and the words 'family loyalty respect', inspired by Barker’s tattoos.
Kardashian paired the lace gown and veil with tulle gloves and white pumps.
Also in Dolce & Gabbana, Barker wore a double-breasted jacket with peaked lapels and classic trousers to his third wedding with Kardashian.
But Kardashian’s stellar veil wasn’t the only memorable thing at their Italian wedding. Kardashian and Barker’s 50 guests were housed in the superyachts; Regina D'Italia and Fatima. If that wasn’t enough, guests are also residing at the nearby Villa Olivetta complex.
Previously owned by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the superyacht Regina D’Italia (Queen of Italy in English) is worth US $14.2 million. The superyacht has gold-veined marble floors and gold door handles. Bathroom taps are made of gold, studded with rubies and sapphires.
A glimpse at the interiors of Regina D'Italia:
The Regina D’ Italia also boasts a 167-foot custom-made inflatable water slide, connected from the top-deck to let guests slide into the ocean. The superyacht can accommodate 14 guests and has an elevator, a swimming pool, along with a beauty salon.
The Fatima is owned by designer duo Dolce and Gabbana, and is slightly smaller in comparsion to the Regina D’Italia.
People magazine has been able to confirm that about 6, completely exclusive Riva boats were used by the couple and their guests to move between the superyachts and the coast of Italy.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker is expected to hold a reception at Castello Brown, a 16th century castle in Portofino, Italy, and another reception in Los Angeles.
