Jujutsu Kaisen fans don’t fear, for our besto frendo Aoi Todo is finally here

The Shibuya Incident arc, now in its umpteenth episode, reaches its apex as our “brother” Aoi Todo emerges as the savior du jour. Todo graciously descends from the heavens to rescue Itadori from the clutches of despair, with a flair for the dramatic and an One For because, let's face it, who doesn't love a good shonen cliché?

What

Todo's appearance in Jujutsu Kaisen's latest Shibuya Incident arc has undeniably injected much-needed hope, levity, and inspiration into the traumatic second season. As the arc reaches its climax, Todo's timely intervention against Mahito not only provides a thunderous spectacle but also serves as a rallying point for the emotionally battered Yuji Itadori.

The pivotal moment comes as Yuji grapples with the aftermath of Sukuna's devastation, Nanami's tragic passing, and the seemingly fatal injury to Nobara. In his catatonic state, Mahito relentlessly beats Yuji, who appears resigned to his fate until Todo arrives with a resounding speech that resonates deeply.

Todo is here

As Yuji wallows in the depths of his existential crisis, Todo bursts onto the scene with the subtlety of a Tollywood action-movie star, enlightening us with the profound wisdom of Buddhist teachings. The Gion monastery must be thrilled to have its bells featured in an anime, echoing warnings about impermanence like an overenthusiastic life coach.

Todo's assertion that their comrades are never truly gone as long as they are alive resonates deeply with Yuji, marking a turning point in his mindset. Despite having only 10% of his soul remaining, Yuji rises from his broken state, ready to face Mahito alongside Todo.

Glorious Black Flash

Twitter has exploded with admiration for Todo's beautiful cosmic Black Flash delivery for his "brother” - JJK’s interdimensional hero, hitting flashy Boogie Woogies and channeling a One For All-style smash from My Hero Academia.

Despite recent murmurs about MAPPA Studios' horrendous work schedule, the animators are being applauded for their valiant efforts to bring us Todo's awe-inspiring Black Flash. Because who cares about the well-being of the artists when we can have visually stunning sequences and memes about Todo's newfound resemblance to All Might?

Todo's long-awaited appearance in Shibuya has been nothing short of a revelation, adding some much-needed light-heartedness to an already devastating season.
