Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in Fighter teaser give Bollywood its own Top Gun

We finally get a first look at Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor’s Indian Top Gun, Fighter. The first teaser of Fighter shows a new, stylistic, full-fledged Air Force movie for Bollywood, along with quite the hype thanks to its cast, but fails the battle with logic and originality. 

What

• Directed by the maker of War and Pathaan Siddharth Anand, Fighter is being hailed as Bollywood's first full-fledged aerial action film. Fighter stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. 
• The teaser gives us the first glimpse at Hrithik Roshan as Patty, Deepika Padukone as Minni, and Anil Kapoor as Captain Rocky, all rocking their uniforms in style during a thrilling mission aboard fighter jets.

• The movie is set to release on January 25, exactly a year after Siddharth's last blockbuster Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. 
• Fighter is set to hit the theatres on January 25, 2024. 

Fighter is first of its kind in Bollywood, thanks to its full-fledged aerial action sequences – as shown in glimpses in the teaser. 

Fighter, or Top Gun India

• Since the announcement of the movie, it has been compared straight off with Tom Cruise-starrer Top Gun, which is widely considered one of the most successful Hollywood movies of all time. 

• The teaser contains several flight sequences which can be directly compared to scenes from Top Gun, something that wouldn’t slide past the eyes of numerous people. 

• It remains to be seen if Fighter can follow the success path laid down by Siddharth Anand’s last two blockbusters – Pathaan and War.
