Starting with her former partner, Spanish footballer Gerard Pique, and the swirling rumors connecting her to Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton, to her recently confirmed relationship with American basketball player Jimmy Butler - it's clear that she has a penchant for sportspeople.

The latest addition to Shakira's dating life is Jimmy Butler, a 33-year-old American basketball player who competes for the Miami Heat in the National Basketball Association (NBA). According to US Weekly, the two have been on a few dates, slowly exploring their budding romance.

A source revealed to US Weekly, "They have been out a few times, but things are very new and it’s too early to tell if there’s long-term potential there." The source also mentioned that the 13-year age difference between Shakira and Jimmy Butler "doesn't bother" Shakira in the slightest.

Enjoying each other's company, the two are happily spending time together, and Jimmy's ability to make Shakira smile has been a significant factor in their connection.

• Shakira and Lewis Hamilton had been seen together previously in May as well. According to Page Six, the pair was first spotted on a boat in Miami. Hamilton was participating in the Miami Grand Prix on May 8.

• Although, two had never confirmed their relationship rumours.
