Doja Cat in a catfight with fans all over again, blame Kittenz

American singer-rapper Doja Cat is currently in a cat fight with her fandom over what seems like an unprovoked act. The crux of the problem seems to be the name of Doja Cat's fandom this time. Just like BTS fandom is called Army and Taylor Swift fans call themselves Swifties, some Doja Cat fans call themselves 'kitten' or 'kittenz'.

What happened

• The singer suddenly burst out at a fan with the username Kitten in a now-deleted response on the Threads app, saying that there shouldn't be any name associated with her fandom and that people who do this should "get a job". 

• She further went on to suggest that the fan should delete their entire account and rethink "everything". 
• The harsh comments by Doja Cat don't seem to have gone down well with her fans as they have since started unfollowing her. Some of her fandom accounts with a large follower base have also deleted their accounts. 

• The sudden outburst by Doja Cat against her fans did not stop at the fandom name. 
• She also went on to call another fan whose username went by her "government name" Amala, "creepy as f***".
• When another fan asked Doja to say that she loves her fans, the singer replied saying, "I don't though because I don't even know y'all."
• Doja Cat's fans aren't super happy with the online behaviour of their 'once' beloved star. Some even reminded the singer that she would be nothing without the support of her fans, whom she doesn't seem to like very much.

• There were some who came to Doja Cat's defence saying that the attitude is all part of the singer assuming the role of an alter ego named 'Scarlet' who hates the fans. 
• Fans said that Doja Cat had already apologised for "what would happen later". 
• On the other hand, the entire controversy seems to have brought up the discussion about Doja Cat's comedian boyfriend J (Jeffrey) Cyrus.

• Cyrus, a former Twitch streamer, has been accused of sexual assault and grooming teenagers. On Twitter, Doja Cat has been accused of defending her alleged 'racist' boyfriend with sexual assault history.

• Doja Cat doesn't seem to be impressed with fans getting involved in her private life as she lashed out at them in now-deleted tweets and Threads posts saying, "I don't give a f*** what you think about my personal life."

This isn't the first time Doja Cat has been rude to her fans. She has previously also talked about her struggles with fame.
