With the final chapter in the Halloween franchise dropping tomorrow (October 14), we take a look at the most terrifying slasher villains of all time.

Having first premiered in 1978, Halloween was one of the first of its kind and an instant blockbuster success. The franchise went on to produce a total of twelve films as well as a number of novels, comics books and video games.

The films primarily focus on Michael Myers who was committed to a sanitarium as a child for the murder of his sister. Fifteen years later, he escapes to stalk and kill the people of the fictional town of Haddonfield, Illinois. Michael's killings occur on the holiday of Halloween, on which all of the films primarily take place and features Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, the main protagonist of the franchise.   

With Halloween Ends, this is Laurie Strode's last stand. After 45 years, the most acclaimed, revered horror franchise in film history reaches its epic, terrifying conclusion as Laurie Strode faces off for the last time against the embodiment of evil, Michael Myers, in a final confrontation unlike any captured on-screen before.
