Before Black Panther Wakanda Forever release: The best and worst of MCU Phase 4, ranked

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will bring Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to a (hopefully) resounding close. We take a look at the lengthy list of Marvel releases in this segment of the MCU and rank them from worst to best.

In what seems like the most active two years in Marvel Studios history, the notorious Mouse in charge has spent some big bucks in spoiling fans over the span of 2021 and 2022. So much so that at the end of this blockbuster-filled journey, it seems that the impossible has finally happened: Marvel fans are at long last pretty sick and tired of the continuous bombardment of releases coming their way.

With Wakanda Forever, Phase 4 of the MCU would mark a cumulative 7 films and 9 Disney+ TV series, not including the Marvel Special Presentations - Werewolf by Night and this month’s Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. No wonder inertia set in for fans and critics alike.

In a pre-Endgame world, the very possibility to entertain the idea of ‘too much Marvel’ would be met with disgust and scorn (and probably a few pieces of furniture flung towards you). Today, nearly four years since the events of Endgame brought the world to its knees, there’s a higher chance that Marvel fans would be looking back at the time long past, marveling at how good they once had it (pun intended).
