Netflix's new docuseries on one of the most iconic English footballers, David Beckham, is receiving widespread acclaim on social media, with viewers unable to get enough of it.
Former England football star and national team captain, David Beckham, has taken over social media platforms since the release of Netflix's new four-episode docuseries about him.
The docuseries, titled "Beckham," is co-produced by the footballer's own media company, Studio 99. The series traces Beckham's journey from his early days at Waltham Forest under-12s to becoming a globally recognised football star.
I never, in a million years, would have thought how complex of a man David Beckham was and still is. Tough, solid, vulnerable. I had no idea how much he endured, how driven he was, & how much he loved the game. #BeckhamNetflix is almost like The Last Dance of soccer. Five stars. pic.twitter.com/aA1WZJ2XNw

Never took a liking to david beckham all these years but having watched the beckhams on netflix and seeing what he went through via the horrible football supporters, his OCD of cleanliness, his family centred approach - he’s grown on me

#BECKHAM documentary is brilliant. Certainly brought back lots of great memories. Just terrible what abuse him and his family had to endure post World Cup. Still to this day it baffles me how much hate he got. #beckhamnetflix #MUFC #MUFC_FAMILY pic.twitter.com/JQS2swa8dR

This moment haunted him as England faced defeat on penalties, leading to widespread criticism and even abuse directed towards him and his family.
David Beckham went through a whole season of fans abusing him horrifically. The mental strength to come through that a winner was immense. A true Legend of the game
