Animal leaked viral videos make Triptii Dimri the National Crush of India

Actor Triptii Dimri might have a small role in Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, but she has essayed it so well that she is getting massive appreciation for it. Dimri, as Zoya, is Ranbir’s love interest in the second half of the movie, and her character is getting a lot of attention.

In fact, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Dimri has even surpassed Rashmika Mandana in popularity, who was the main female lead in the movie, alongside Ranbir Kapoor.

The National Crush

'People should see innocence in Zoya’s eyes'

• Dimri's character of Zoya is getting a lot of fame, despite of it being a negative one. The actor feels that she has been able to pull it off, as per director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's vision of showing the innonence of her role.
• “When I had discussions with Sandeep sir for the character, he told me that this is a negative character, but I don’t want you to show the negative side of her but instead, people should see the innocence in her,” Dimri said in an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in.
• She further said, “I want people to see love for this person in Zoya’s eyes, and your entire motive with what you've come to him must be internal. And that is one thing that excited me. I knew this was going to be challenging and I wanted to do it. I'm glad that people have seen that in Zoya.”
• She continued, “While I was performing on set, I was like I'm giving her 100%, I'm doing it with honesty, but I don't know whether I'm going the right way. Because it's difficult for you to judge your character when performing. I'm happy that people have been able to catch that. So that is one compliment that made me very happy.”
• Dimri specifically said that Ranbir Kapoor checked on her every five minutes, to make sure that she was comfortable doing the intimate scenes with her and that really made her comfortable.
• The song, 'Pehle bhi Main' composed and sung by singer Vishal Mishra featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, has become a big hit among the fans.

Theatrical release after 5 years

• Dimri’s last theatrical release was Laila Majnu in 2018, and with Animal she has marked her return to cinema after five years.
• Her previous two releases before Animal were Qala (2022) and Bulbbul (2020) on Netflix. Both the movies were highly appreciated for their content as well as Dimri’s performance.
• She had bagged the Filmfare OTT Award, 'Best Actress in a Web Original Film' for Bulbbul.
• However, the acclaim she has received with Animal is bigger than what she has gotten so far, and several fans have also gone back to see her previous movies on Netflix after her Animal performance.
• Moreover, a sequel of Animal, Animal Park is also on the cards and Dimri's character is expected to have a full fledged role in it as shown in the ending of the movie.

The movie has broken several box office records and has collected Rs 313 crore in India, with the worldwide total at Rs 527.6 crore.
