Shah Rukh Khan's 25-year-old son Aryan Khan is all set to launch his own vodka brand. Along with his business partners Bunty Singh and Leti Blagoeva, Khan aims to start a high-end vodka brand called D'Yavol along with a future foray in the brown spirits market.
The trio have launched a Netherlands-based luxury brand called Slab Ventures, which will have business ties with Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) for marketing and distribution. AB InBev is also regarded as the world's largest brewing company according to multiple reports.
Aryan Khan has stated earlier that he doesn't wish to be an actor like his superstar father and would rather choose to be a filmmaker in Bollywood. In fact, he has recently written a web series for SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment that is expected to drop sometime around March 2023.
Now with the launch of Slab Ventures, he is walking in his father's footsteps of diversifying his businesses.
Shah Rukh Khan has his fair share of brand endorsements while also being a constant stakeholder of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders and owning 26 percent of the edutainment chain Kidzania (that has outlets in Mumbai and Noida). While also backing the VFX studio Red Chillies, SRK has been the producer for most of his recent films too.
While Indian actors and celebrities usually don't hold stakes in liquor companies, it is quite a common norm in the West. Ryan Reynolds doesn't spare an opportunity to promote his Aviation Gin, also throwing its bottles in front of the camera in his documentary series Welcome to Wrexham (which again showcases his other business venture: a Welsh football club).
Both Dwayne Johnson and Kendall Jenner are leading the tequila game with their Teremana Tequila and 818 Tequila respectively, constantly promoting their brands on their Instagram handles.
Closer home, the only Bollywood actor who seems to follow this route is Danny Denzongpa, managing the Sikkim-based Yuksom Breweries that produces beer varieties like Dansberg, Yeti and Heman.
