For a year or two, half of the actors in Bollywood are sorted. Those who were on tenterhooks till yesterday morning might have heaved a sigh of relief after they came across Karan Johar’s tweet, resembling an unofficial roster of Bollywood actors. Wait, he was just announcing his movie, Takht, which has apparently said ‘no’ to none and ensured that at least one member from each of the major Bollywood families is comfortably accommodated in the movie, which is going to be the Padmaavat of 2020.
Vicky Kaushal is the shield which will fail all nepotism debate
So, there's Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, one-film-old Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. These stars have not been seen together before. Yes, the Kapoor family has been favoured a lot, but that must be according to the demand of this epic war movie, which will reportedly depict the war of succession between Aurangzeb and Dara Shikoh.
Before you jump to conclusions of who will play whom, here are two difficult questions:
Of course, a number of names pop up in our head as we try to think of who all have not found a place in Takht. But, interestingly, it is not the end of the world for them. Because Karan Johar is a generous person and his company will be producing a number of movies in the coming years. And, like Santa Claus, he has something for everyone.
Like, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Dimple are there in Brahmastra.
Kalank will feature Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Hiten Tejwani, etc.
Then, there is Ranbhoomi with Varun Dhawan again.
(Yes, we already noticed that Alia Bhatt is there in Takht, Brahmastra and, don't worry, also Kalank)
All these are projects already announced by Karan Johar’s production house.
Karan’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna already proved that he is fond of an ensemble cast. Even his recent short film for Netflix’s Lust Stories had a number of characters. Brahmastra and Kalank are also multi-starrer movies.
Big deal: Janhvi Kapoor said Takht is a big deal for her.
So, how and why does Takht take the cake?
Because, as soon as Karan Johar tweeted about Takht, all these fortunate actors (Takht, Kalank, Brahmastra, Ranbhoomi), who now won’t have to look for new projects, took to Twitter and expressed their gratitude to Karan with more or less the same text, and also made ‘Takht’ trend.
Thrilled to be a part of @karanjohar 's historical magnum opus with a stellar cast! Watch out for more!#TAKHT @dharmamovies @apoorvamehta18 pic.twitter.com/oensS1r03y

It can also be for Karan Johar himself, as he will be returning to the role of a director after two-year hibernation from the big screen (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, 2016).
You forget Taimur.....????????

But still, there are a few whose presence in Takht we already miss. Apart from Taimur, there is Karan's favourite SRK, whose absence has already become a meme.
SRK sir spotted outside of karan Johar's office after he is signing Ranveer in #Takht pic.twitter.com/u2zLkb7E5G

No one asked about Abhishek Bachchan, but he took to Twitter too and expressed his secret desire.
I’m coming on the #Takht outdoor as @vickykaushal09 ‘s +1.So excited to see it. ????nobody makes multi-starrers better. ????????????
— Abhishek Bachchan (@juniorbachchan) August 9, 2018
But then, since the Bachchan family has also been taken care of in Brahmastra, he can't actually complain.
Now, the only way Karan Johar can mollify SRK is to launch Suhana.
