As the first week concluded at the Bigg Boss house, the viewers witnessed plenty clarifications, some excuses and a flood of tears. Salman Khan's presence was a sight to sore eyes. The entertaining Bhaijaan, now in his fifth year as the host of the show, displayed his expertise of understanding each personality living in the Bigg Boss house. He invited and moderated a panel to ask some gripping questions to the contestants. News anchor Akash Soni, actor and singer Ayushmann Khurrana and Salman's latest co-star Sonam Kapoor were present at the panel as fans of the show who had their suggestions and advice for the contestants.

The spotlight first came on Rimi Sen. Her obvious lack of interest to participate in the tasks was questioned. Rimi was not shy to admit that she came from a sheltered background and was not comfortable in the limelight. Salman jumped to his old co-star's rescue claiming she was a strong contender and would emerge from her cocoon eventually. Well Rimi, we are waiting for you to shed your inhibitions and participate rather than nag.
Questions then turned to Mandana. The model and actress was lauded by Soni as well as Khurrana for playing a well-calculated game. Whereas others were trying to get comfortable with each other, Mandana was already on her way to ensuring she got the maximum votes from the public. She was no sweet and accommodative Elli Avram or Claudia Ciesla of the past seasons, her actions this week made it pretty clear. It is evident that Salman, like in the previous season, has already seen potential in Mandana Karimi to be his favourite. Karimi may well be on her way to be mentored by the superstar in her next Bollywood venture.
Sonam, who was on the stage to promote her next film - Prem Ratan Dhan Payo with Salman, had an advice masquerading as a question for Roopal and Digangana. Both the girls were asked to act like adults and stop acting like high school girls engrossed in girly gossip. Salman too asked Digangana to take out time from untangling her locks and mingle with the housemates.
But the maximum number of questions were reserved for Keith, Rochelle and Mandana. The trio who had kept the housemates on edge with their daily tussles, were asked about the dynamics of their relationship. While Keith jokingly accepted that he was happy enjoying the attention from the ladies, his girlfriend, Rochelle took a serious stance and said that she was indeed smarter than what Mandana thought her to be.
As the focus shifted to the first elimination in Bigg Boss 9, it was clear that none of the three nominated jodis wanted to be first. However, Ankit was the first contestant to be voted out. Fortunately for Roopal, her ex would no longer bother her, though she did shed a tear or two after the announcement of his eviction.
As one eventful week passes, another would hopefully turn out to be a more revealing glimpse into the Bigg Boss house. With contestants now acquainted with the different sides of each other, this week was a sneak peek of the groupism and politics that will follow.
