“They are no longer together”.
“Of course they are! They look so cute together!”
Many among us have had, or heard, this conversation about Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma and her “rumoured boyfriend” cricketer Virat Kohli. Latest occasion: Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech’s wedding where they both were seen matching steps on Bally Sagoo’s song, “Gur Naal Ishq Mitha”.
They, however, seem to have put most speculations to rest with reports of them being engaged just before 2016 calls it a day doing the rounds on the internet. And if reports are to be believed, those invited to be a part of their celebrations include Amitabh Bachchan and wife Jaya, among others.
Reportedly, the much-in-love couple, whose (on and off) relationship has always been in the spotlight, are all set to usher in the New Year together and get engaged in Dehradun.
Recently, the Sultan actor had said that she would never hide her relationship behind dark car windows, but would not talk about it as well.
The "It Couple", like most celebrities, has often been trolled on social media, with most recently Anushka being blamed for the Test cricket captain’s dismal performance in the World Cup semifinal against Australia just because she was in the stands.
The duo, however, took it in their stride with Kohli publicly coming out in her support.“Shame on people for trolling @AnushkaSharma non-stop. Have some compassion. She has always only given me positivity,” he wrote on Twitter.

Being a celebrity brings along media and public glare, but Virat and Anushka have been trolled at the drop of a hat. Yuvraj Singh commenting on a picture and addressing her as “Rosie bhabhi” was news too!
It is high time we give them space and a chance to enjoy the little moments in their relationship. We all need that space.
It is excellent news if they are indeed engaged. Let’s rejoice in their happiness. But in case they are not, let's stay away from targeting either. Instead let's blame the godforsaken picture that found space on the web and led to "yet another not-so-cherishable moment" for them.
And like Anushka aptly titled her latest Instagram video, “Ultimately, it's all about cherishing the simple things in life that truly bring peace.”
Wishing luck in the coming year, both – on and off and the camera and pitch!
