Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is celebrating his 47th birthday on August 16, 2016. Kejriwal has over the years become one of social media's favourite politicians, possibly second only to Prime Minister Modi.
His affable charm, aam aadmi style of communication and anger at everything has a wider people connect, which eventually resulted in him decimating the BJP and the Congress in 2015 Delhi Assembly elections and winning 67 out of the total 70 seats. Though things aren't great for his party at present with the daily tussles with the Centre, and many of his ministers facing criminal charges, he still remains one of Twitter's best bait.

Of late, Kejriwal has become some sort of a lightening rod attracting outlandish comments from all quarters. Publicly, he has been playing the victim a bit more than what is usually expected of him. His constant fights with the Delhi L-G, Najeeb Jung, haven't been pretty and him accusing PM Modi of everything under the sun, form trying to hold Delhi back to not letting kejri move a leaf, has resulted in many public showdowns.
PM Modi wished Arvind Kejriwal like many others on Twitter. |
Nonetheless, he's still everyone's favourite aam aadmi, and on his birthday, everyone, from PM Modi to Virender Sehwag, wished him, and #HappyBirthdayArvindKejriwal trended at the top on Twitter.
