The Indian Premier League (IPL) is going on in full swing this season. IPL's popularity is not just limited to winning or losing a game. Every year, there are moments that win the audience’s hearts. Be it cheer, laughter, suspense or disappointment, these moments make the IPL more fun and memorable.
Enjoy these five funny IPL moments:
1. WHEN CHRIS GAYLE CHASED YUVRAJ SINGH
We have seen the friendship between Yuvraj Singh and Chris Gayle on and off the field during the IPL.
In an IPL match between Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore , Chris Gayle chased Yuvraj Singh with the bat.
In 2015, a match got cancelled due to rain. All the players started running towards the pavilion to save themselves from the rain.
During this hustle, Yuvraj pushed Gayle in a friendly manner. And soon after this, Gayle chased him with the bat in his hands.
2. THE BALL WENT MISSING
Losing the ball while playing gully cricket is a common thing. But during tournaments like IPL, it is very rare as well as funny incident.
During a match between the RCB and the KXIP in 2019, everyone on the field realised that the ball was missing.
As the bowler, Ankit Rajpoot, was preparing himself to bowl, he asked his teammates for the ball. Everyone just kept looking at each other’s faces but no one knew where th ball went.
And to everyone’s surprise, the ball was in the umpire’s pocket.
3. CHRIS GAYLE GOES OYE BALLE BALLE!
The Royal Challengers Bangalore team is known for making viral videos and making clips of their players having fun.
In one of such clips from IPL 2015, Virat Kholi, Mandeep Singh and Chris Gayle can be seen doing bhangra.
You cannot miss moves by Chris Gayle. All the three players are dancing like baratis at an Indian wedding.
4. KIERON POLLARD TAPED HIS MOUTH
West Indies captain Kieron Pollard once taped his mouth during an IPL match in 2015.
Pollard from Mumbai Indians tried to build pressure by walking around Chris Gayle with a few gestures.
The umpires weren’t happy with this behaviour. They warned Pollard and asked him to maintain a distance with the other team’s players.
As a response to this warning, Pollard came back with a tape on his mouth.
It was light scene that the commentators, spectators and fellow team players enjoyed.
But Pollard maintained a straight face throughout.
5. ABOVE ALL, RCB NOT WINNING THE TOURNAMENT EVERY YEAR
One of the last wishes of an RCB fan is to see the team win an IPL season. At times the team has came so close but still failed to go all the way.
These have now become an everygreen meme material for IPL fabs,
After yesterday's RCB Vs CSK match, the memes on RCB's IPL history are all over the internet.
