Burger King Thailand unveiled its extra cheesy -- and by extra I mean a burger with 20 slices of cheese extra -- on Sunday, July 9. It caused a stir all over the Internet, with people scratching their heads in amazement.
But alas, this cheesy tale didn't even make it past a week. Just a few days after its grand debut, Burger King Thailand's Facebook page dropped the cheesebomb that they would no longer be serving this sensation after July 13.
"If you haven't tried, you need to hurry up !" said its social media handle.
Talk about a short-lived cheese extravaganza!
The 'real cheeseburger' had two slices of burger bun desperately trying to hold together a mountain of cheese. No veggies, no meat, no patty, no sauce; just an avalanche of cheese waiting to numb your taste buds.
Netizens lost their mind trying this peculiar creation.
The item made its debut on Thai menus at a discounted price of 109 Thai Baht (INR 255), significantly lower than the usual 380 baht (INR 897).
"Not for fun, this is for real!" is exactly how Burger King Thailand announced the burger.
Minor International, one of the prominent restaurant owners in Asia, oversees Burger King Thailand along with other well-known brands such as Dairy Queen and Benihana.
Was this even worth launching?
