It is the thrilling season of college placements, where stress levels hit the academic ceiling, and IIT Delhi (Indian Institute of Technology Delhi) is no exception. Several companies are wooing students with enviable packages, and Zomato was among them too.
However, a recent tweet by an IITian is going viral on social media after he called out the popular food delivery company for initially offering a tempting salary of Rs 1.6 crore, but then, withdrawing the job position.
Zomato is often known for its quirky way of marketing and is often in headlines for good reasons. However, Hrithik Talwar, a student from IIT Delhi, has pushed Zomato in trouble with his tweet, with people on X (Twitter) claiming that the company has "reached a new low".
So here's what happened: Hrithik took to his X account on Monday and posted that Zomato came in for their campus placements, and offered a job as an algorithm engineer, with a salary of Rs 1.6 crore.
However, the company withdrew the job position, after getting "the hype", wrote Talwar.
