"Would you like single or double cheese to go with it?" is what perhaps every burger store person asks you when you go to get one. But what if they offer nothing but only 20 slices of cheese to go with your burger? No veggies, no meat, no patty, nothing. Just two slices of the burger bun, and 20 slices of cheese in between?
In Thailand, Burger King's latest offering has caused a sensation: a burger with no meat but loaded with only cheese.
The Thai branch of the popular fast food franchise recently introduced the "real cheeseburger," a bun crammed with up to 20 slices of American cheese.
The item made its debut on Thai menus last Sunday, at a discounted price of 109 Thai Baht (INR 255), significantly lower than the usual 380 baht (INR 897), reported CNN.
It rapidly gained viral attention on Thai social media platforms, as numerous TikTok users posted videos of themselves sampling the novel sandwich.
"Not for fun, this is for real!" Burger King Thailand said in a Facebook post.
Netizens went crazy over this new launch, pouring in mixed reactions all over Twitter.
Minor International, one of the prominent restaurant owners in Asia, oversees Burger King Thailand along with other well-known brands such as Dairy Queen and Benihana.
