Looks like Spooktober is here too soon. Passengers aboard American Airlines flights have been hearing the unholiest of noises over the in-flight intercoms, and no one knows what they actually are.
Actor and producer Emerson Collins posted a video of his experiences with the creepy noises while traveling on an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Dallas (DFW).
According to Collins, the pilots and crew aboard the plane were just as baffled at the origins of the noises, though eventually seemed convinced that it was a prank by one of the passengers.
Collins himself was reported to have walked down the aisles of the plane in an attempt to catch a potential mischief maker but soon realised a passengerās involvement was unlikely amid the packed flight.
The incident isnāt however, a one off for American Airlines. The LA Times reported two separate instances of the same ghoulish noises to have plagued American Airlines flights. A Twitter user compiled a thread of 5 separate instances of passengers experiencing the same, interestingly, all from LAX-origin flights.Ā
American Airlinesā official comments in light of the many similar experiences surfacing seem adamant that the origins of the sounds were due to a āmechanical issueā.Ā
Nice try American Airlines, but weāre not buying it.
Hereās what we think are the ACTUAL origins to the ominous noises aboard the American Airlines flights:
