A Delta flight en route to Barcelona, Spain from Atlanta, US, was forced to make an emergency U-turn after a passenger suffered heavy diarrhoea, setting off a "biohazard issue".
The flight, Flight 194, was already two hours into the journey when the pilot was instructed to turn back because of the diarrhoea-stricken passenger.Â
''This is a biohazard issue. We've had a passenger who's had diarrhoea all the way through the airplane, so they want us to come back to Atlanta," said a cockpit transmission from the pilot to the air traffic control.Â
The flight authorities, on the other hand, said that they were quick to get the entire situation under control.Â
The incident comes only a couple of months after a passenger on an Air France flight, found a 20-inch long blood stain on the floor below his seat.
