Hailing from the small town of Bayanpur in the Sonipat district of Haryana, Ankit Baiyanpuria, also known as Ankit Singh, adopted his village name as his surname when he began his journey in wrestling, in line with tradition.
He completed his higher education in his hometown and is currently pursuing his graduation in Sonipat. His parents work as daily wage laborers, but Ankit has been dedicated to wrestling for the past 13 years.
On June 27, 2023, Baiyanpuria embarked on the 75 Hard Challenge on Instagram, and on September 11th, he successfully completed it.
This viral sensation now boasts more than 4.1 million Instagram followers and over 1.2 million YouTube subscribers. Before taking on the 75 Hard Challenge, Ankit primarily shared humorous Haryanvi videos on his YouTube channel.
However, thanks to this challenge, Ankit's following grew by more than 3 million in just 28 days.
Throughout the challenge, his videos received millions of views and garnered thousands of comments applauding his dedication.
His down-to-earth style of communication influenced many influencers who created their own videos, offering their unique take on the challenge.
On the day he completed the challenge, the 75th day, his video amassed an astonishing 21.2 million views and received more than 3 million likes.
Ankit is not only known for his distinctive video greeting, "Ram Ram Bhai Sareya Ne," but also for incorporating a variety of Desi Workouts, such as plowing fields and engaging in traditional Indian wrestling (kushti), which resonated with Indian audiences.
In an interview, Ankit credited the Bhagavad Gita as his source of inspiration, emphasizing that the holy book motivated him more than anything else to persevere and complete the challenge.
When asked about the changes he experienced after completing the challenge, he mentioned that he not only improved physically but also became mentally stronger.
Now, Ankit is gearing up for his own version of the 75 Hard Challenge, extending it to an impressive 105 days.
