Once upon a time, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt said, “I want to marry Ranbir Kapoor” on Koffee With Karan. Cut to 2022, and Alia Bhatt is marrying Ranbir Kapoor this week. Seems like Alia Bhatt manifested her wedding with Ranbir Kapoor, if all those inspirational quotes on Instagram are anything to go by.
Since the beginning of her career, Alia has mentioned in several interviews that she would love to marry Ranbir Kapoor someday. According to reports, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are ready to tie the knot on April 14 or 15 or 17. Speculation is rife and the paps are ready, given that it is hands-down the biggest Bollywood wedding this year. Ranbir and Alia are getting married in Mumbai this week. And with all preparations in place, fans just can’t keep calm.
Just like what every other celebrity has been doing for a while now - the last ones being Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal - the Alia-Ranbir wedding is also a super-secret wedding, without any confirmation from family and friends as such. 1. A LAST-MINUTE CHANGE IN WEDDING DATE
According to a few sources, the couple is postponing their wedding. The exact date of the wedding has left fans (and the media) pretty confused.
Earlier, Alia’s uncle Robin Bhatt confirmed to Aaj Tak that the couple will have a mehendi ceremony on April 13, followed by the wedding on April 14.
Now, as per the latest details, the wedding is being postponed due to security concerns. Alia's brother Rahul Bhatt has said that the wedding would happen by April 20.
“The wedding is happening, it is known to all. But there is no wedding on April 13 or 14. That is a sure thing. Actually, the dates earlier were the same, but after the information was leaked to the media, the dates were changed. Everything has been changed because there's a lot of pressure. I give my word that there's no wedding on April 13 or 14. As far as I know, there will be an announcement regarding the date soon,” Rahul said.
Rahul Bhatt is Alia’s stepbrother, who is a fitness instructor.
2. RK STUDIOS IS ALL LIT UP
The decorations for the big Bollywood wedding have also already started. RK Studios is all decked up.
Videos and pictures of RK Studios all lit up are going viral on social media. All these pictures and videos of preparations are hinting at some confirmation on the wedding.

3. WE SEE SABYASACHI BAGS
In a recent video from this morning, Sabyasachi bags and clothes were seen being delivered to Ranbir Kapoor’s home.

According to sources, Alia will be wearing Sabyasachi on the wedding day just like Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and many other Bollywood actresses. Reports have also revealed that she will be wearing Manish Malhotra for the rest of the wedding festivities.
Ranbir Kapoor will also be dressed in Sabyasachi for his big day.

Just like Neetu, Alia’s uncle Mukesh Bhatt has also refused to talk about the rumoured wedding. He told Aaj Tak, “I am not in a position to tell anything at this point of time. My sister-in-law (Soni Razdan) has refused to discuss anything about this wedding. After the wedding, I will give a complete interview about when and how the marriage took place.”
7. ONLY 28 GUESTS
Meanwhile, Alia’s brother Rahul Bhatt has shared some details about the guest list.
In an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, Rahul revealed that only 28 guests would attend the wedding, with family members and close friends only.
8. THE COUPLE WILL FOLLOW THE KAPOOR TRADITION
As per reports, Alia and Ranbir will have a traditional Punjabi wedding at the RK House in Chembur, Mumbai, where Neetu and Rishi Kapoor were married.
Later, a few reports also suggested that the couple will tie the knot at Ranbir’s Bandra home, Vastu.
Alia and Ranbir began dating in 2018. They made their first appearance as a couple at Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding reception in Mumbai.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be seen together on screen for the first time in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra. The film will release on September 9.
