The month of April has finally come to an end, and it too had its own share of trend cycles on Instagram. Here are some of the trends, songs and viral hits that we think were the highlight of the month and made it to your Instagram feed.

How many of you actually found yourself mumbling the song, "I woke up in the middle of the night, and I noticed my girl wasn't by my side"?
FYI: This is a 13-year-old classic by Akon, 'Lonely'.
This song rather had a weird visual to it: People added sings that made you a famous character or even a thing. For instance, videos went viral with the heading: Signs that you're a 'Panda' or a 'Onion/Bhatura'.
2. The Melodramatic Chase
The song 'O re Piya' by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan from the movie Aaja Nachle made it to everyone's Instagram and not in a romantic kind of way. In this trend, two persons are running with one chasing the other. Just see it for yourself:
3. John Cena dancing with headphones on
Probably one of the most viral and unexpected trend on Instagram was WWE star John Cena dancing around with headphones on. But if you think some AI created this video, you're certainly wrong. This clip is from Jimmy Fallon's show where he was participating in a 'whisper challenge', where he was dancing around with the headphones on. This collabed with the song of a South Korean female band Cupid. It's just adorable.
4. Period Blood as masks and fertilizers
This trend though was hanging around for a while, but it made it into everybody's feed again in the month of April. Women were using period blood as face masks and plant fertilisers. Reactions? The trend grossed out and intrigued a lot of women and experts.

The female version of Sajjad Ali's Punjabi song Ravi was all over Instagram Reels this April. The song has more than 52.3K reels, but the song is actually a tribute to the historic and culturally rich river Ravi that flows through the heart of Punjab, Pakistan.
2. A Thousand Years
The song, A thousand years, by Christina Perri, was released in 2011 and has been a classic ever since. This April the acoustic cover version by Jada Facer, became viral on Instagram, with more than 90k reels.
3. FIFTY FIFTY's Cupid
The song, Cupid, by the South Korean band FIFTY FIFTY, made it everyone's Instagram, thanks to John Cena's headphones meme.
