Japan Airlines, a prominent Asian airline, has introduced a pioneering solution aimed at enabling you to pack lighter on your trip to Japan and, in turn, contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions.
What
On Wednesday, July 5, Japan Airlines made an exciting announcement regarding its latest venture, a clothing rental service named "Any Wear, Anywhere."
This service allows you to conveniently rent a package of clothes in advance, which will be delivered to your accommodation upon arrival in Japan, whether it's a hotel or an Airbnb.
Once you reach your hotel or Airbnb, collect your clothing from the counter.
Japan Airlines has partnered with Sumitomo Corporation, who will oversee the reservation system and clothing fulfillment process.
The service is currently in its trial phase, running from July 5 of this year until August 2024 (and only for Japan Airlines passengers), providing passengers with an opportunity to try this out.
But once successful, it will be looking to roll out its services to other fellow members of Oneworld carriers like American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, and Malaysia Airlines.
