As March nears its end, it has been a lively month filled with vibrant colours, weddings, and a blend of beauty and excitement. Our Instagram feed has also reflected this; featuring a plethora of visually appealing and engaging content.
Take a look back at some of the content that you saw all over your Instagram this month.
Technology and well, Instagram, has reached every generation and especially this month, Instagram was filled with Reels where old people; especially grandmoms, dole out some life advice to us. No, not the ones you're thinking.
These grannies have some practical advice related to your work, love and social life.
'Oh it's just a phase' or 'You will just grow out of it' are some of the responses we women get when we say we don't want to have kids. However, this month, for a change, social media influencers from Instagram and TikTok are sharing what life will be like without having a child and for them, it's 'absolutely worth it'.
Manifestation content has been all over our Instagram for quite some time now. This month, a new kind of manifestation has taken over the 'gram. It is called 'lucky girl syndrome'. This basically means you are one lucky girl and for you: Traffic lights go green, job opportunities open up, and the fully booked restaurant has a miraculous opening.
Manifestation is nothing but basically a high-end version of 'achha socho, achha hoga'.
Probably the funniest one on Instagram this month; in this trend, President Sleepy Joe (it's the name Instagram has given him, not us) AKA Joe Biden; Donald Trump while sipping Moutain Dew; and Barack Obama made it to our Instagram. These presidents will have an AI-generated voiceover and they will be playing games like Minecraft or Among US. These reels also have guest appearances like Queen Elizabeth or Drake.
Watch it for yourself (we tried to find the most decent one):
If you are above 20, your Instagram must also be filled with jokes about your life in the corporate world which you related to a little too much. This trend of 'How do you say this professionally' was kinda started by Laura, a 29-year-old person from Cannada, whose account is @loewhaley.
Soon, other people followed; and now it's all over Instagram.
For instance,
The month of February and March went by scrolling Instagram. This scrolling reached new heights just around the time Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani got married. People on Instagram were obsessed with them; and some also went back to Bollywood actors Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif's wedding.
So, our Instagram feeds were all Reels from Sid-Kiara's wedding, their wedding photos, wedding trailer and people ranting about when will they find the love of their life like Sidharth or Kiara did. Sigh. (plays Ranjha on repeat)
Last but not the least, the tag #GymCreep, showcasing videos with inappropriate behaviour by men like casual remarks about a woman's body or outfit, prolonged stares and groping, got over 76 million views on TikTok.
Women on TikTok began filming their workouts in an effort to catch predatory guys at the gym, which ultimately reached Instagram as well.
Check out our top three song picks that we think you must have found yourself humming all day, every day this month (and yes, you heard it on Instagram too):
