Seems like food delivery apps are also facing mid-week blues as Zomato and Swiggy crashed for users across India on April 6... albeit for a little while. But those few minutes were enough to send Internet into a meltdown. Users were unable to refresh their app feed and order food during lunch hours.
Several users tweeted pictures of "Something went wrong. Please try again later" messages they received when they tried to access the Zomato app. A technical snag caused by Amazon Web Services was the reason why both Zomato and Swiggy crashed.
And if there is anything Indian users are great at, it is making memes; especially in dire times like these.
Here are 15 memes that will make you laugh out loud:
1. ZOMATO IS SAVING YOU FROM ANY EXTRA CALORIES
2. ANYONE CAN HAVE A MID-WEEK CRISIS
3. BHAISAHAB MEIN PAGAL HO JAUNGA
4. VIBING WITH THANOS

TEMPORARY GLITCH, SAY ZOMATO AND SWIGGY
Zomato and Swiggy responded to some user complaints. When one user tweeted, "@zomatocare What is this? I have 2 orders But i am not able to track both of them Very bad service Do something as soon as possible",
Zomato responded by saying, "Hi there, we are facing a temporary glitch. Please be assured our team is working on this and we will be up and running soon."
And when one user tweeted, "@SwiggyCares Order from your favorite restaurant be like on swiggy. No option for adding it to cart."
Swiggy responded by saying, "We apologize for the long delay we are currently facing due to a technical glitch. This is not usual with us and our best minds are working on it to resolve it at the earliest. Please bear with us."
The apps have now recovered and Indians are ordering away!
