The Parliamentary Ethics Committee led by Bharatiya Janata Party leader LK Advani has issued a notice to Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi in connection with his reported British citizenship.

The ethics panel had sent a letter to Gandhi last week asking him to clarify if he once declared himself a British citizen.

Arun Ram Mehgwal, BJP MP and member of the ethics committee, has claimed that it is a serious issue and post Gandhi's response the committee will decide the future course of actions, reported ANI.
