Monday is here. It is the day when getting out of bed, dressing up and even having breakfast seems like a task. The little bit of happiness that we have left in our lives also takes a backseat.
Usually, Mondays start with zero willpower to do anything. It is then followed by the struggle to get a cab, or to be stuck in a crowded public transport. Finally, we have reached our workplace.
A large cup of coffee or tea and a hassle-free day is all that we want now. But there are always some people that make the Monday struggle worse.
We can divide these into seven categories. Take a look.
1. 9 AM MEETING STARTERS
Don't we hate that one person who is excited to start a meeting at 9 am? We are neither mentally, nor physically prepared for that level of interaction on Monday mornings. So it would be great if the meeting starts once we get used to the Monday Blues.
2. OVER-EXCITED CO-WORKERS
There are always some over-dressed, over-excited and over-talkative people around us on Mondays. While half of us are annoyed by them, the other half is wondering the reason behind their extreme energy levels.
3. PEOPLE WHO SEND EMAILS AFTER 5 PM ON FRIDAY
On Monday, bumping into a person who says, “Did you see my mail on Friday?” is the last thing we want.
First of all, no one should be allowed to send emails post 5 pm on Fridays.
Second, no one should follow up on Friday emails on Monday morning.

4. PEOPLE WHO SEND EARLY-MORNING EMAILS
No one likes people who send emails on a Monday morning.
Emails like these should be deleted immediately:
a) Please share the report ASAP
b) Good morning, please fill the sheet attached
c) Good morning, Happy Monday. Please dooooo….
And so on...
5. YOUR LEAST FAVOURITE PERSON SAYING HI TO YOU
Imagine the person you hate the most at your workplace saying a big hello to you on a Monday morning. It will be like adding fuel to the fire.
To avoid such situations, choose routes/places where you are least likely to encounter them.
6. HR PERSON CONDUCTING ACTIVITIES
No one likes the activities conducted by the HR on any day. But they are more annoying on Mondays.
When you are not in the mood to do the bare minimum, things like some xyz sessions are a big NO.
7. BOSS
(This is the toughest point to write because mine will be reading this at some point or the other)
Bosses who let us leave early on Friday evenings are our favourite. But bosses who show up early on Mondays are the ones we hate.
And the bosses who are on leave on Mondays deserve an award.
How are you beating those Monday blues? Tell us in the comments. Meanwhile, this is me-
