IPL auction: What next for Yuvraj Singh?

After letting Yuvraj Singh go, Delhi Daredevils (DD) are flush with funds again: Rs 37.15 crore in their auction purse. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) still have Rs 21.62 crore in their kitty. Expect both teams to gun for Shane Watson and breach new records. As for Yuvraj Singh, after that six and four in the last over, which paved the way for India's win against Australia in the last match of the T20 series on January 31, his cricket life is looking up again. He's been picked for the Asia Cup and the World Twenty20, as has been Pawan Negi (ex-CSK and DD). Like Yuvraj, Negi is a left arm spinner and can hit a long ball. Negi is also more than 11 years Yuvraj's junior. Most probably Negi will be picked by Dhoni's Rising Pune Supergiants.

It was more than eight years ago, and akin to being mugged in broad daylight. Broad was only 21 and playing in his eighth Twenty20 international.

His tormentor, Yuvraj Singh, was batting in only his third innings. Broad knew of Yuvraj or Singh-2 as they would call him, Harbhajan was always Singh-1.

Previously in the tournament Singh-2 had scores of 1 and 5, threat perception was low to moderate. That night Singh-2 became just Yuvraj Singh to the England team.
