WWE WrestleMania 39: Why Austin Theory could defeat John Cena in a career-defining fight

As WrestleMania 39 is inching closer with each passing week, a lot of buzz is being created over the booking of some special matches. And since it is the biggest event of the year, how can it be complete without John Cena, the person who took company to enormous heights. The 16-time WWE Champion is making a return to Monday Night Raw. 

And it wont be a guest apperance as Cena is making a reurn weeks before WrestleMania 39. It has definitely something to do with Cena's potential match at WrestleMania 39. But who will he face?

Is Austin Theory vs Cena on the cards? Yes, most probably, the WWE will book Cena against Theory and the build-up this was started by Austin Theory last week when he talked about Cena in a special promo in Monday Night Raw.

It was earlier reported that Cena was booked against Logal Paul, but the change in plans took place few weeks back and now the creative team wants Cena to work with Austin Theory.

How the match will be built? Cena is expected to make an appearance on RAW and would address Austin Theory over his comments on him. Theory would say that he is the ultimate guy deserving Hustle, Loyalty Respect and not Cena. This will lead Theory to challenge Cena in a match at WrestleMania 39.

But since Cena is no longer a full-time wrestler, who will win the match?

Austin Theory expected to win: The company has been thinking about a push for Austin Theory for sometime now and what can be better than getting a push from the legend of the game.

Theory has been receiving good response from the WWE Universe and this is also the reason why he retained the United States Championship at Elimination Chamber last month. Not only this, Theory has been given some massive push in the company as he has defeated Randy Orton and Edge.

So, for John Cena, this might be another of those matches where he would be pushing for a young talent, like he has done in the past. He helped Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns when they started in WWE.

Austin Theory enters the match as a heel and Cena as a face would most probably be taking the defeat. They both would probably end the match with Theory showing his respect for Cena.

Another reason why Theory is the favourite to win the match at WrestleMania 39 is because by getting him over Cena, the company might then book him for main events and build up a potential crowd favourite.

So, at WrestleMania 39, we might see Theory defeating John Cena in a one-on-one match. And that would indeed be a career defining moment for Theory.
