War 2 gets a release date as YRF Spy Universe tries wading out of Tiger 3 disappointment

The release date for War 2, the eagerly awaited sixth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, has been announced and has amped up the excitement built by Tiger 3.

• The much-anticipated War 2, featuring Hrithik Roshan as Agent Kabir, has its release date confirmed for August 14, 2025, making it a long-weekend treat for audiences.
• According to trade analyst Taran Adarash, the movie is set for a Thursday release, which will give it the scope for a four-day weekend opening run at the theatres. 

• Agent Kabir (Hrithik Roshan) popping up after the credits in Tiger 3 had the fans buzzing, and the release date has only hiked the anticipation. 

What we know about War 2 so far

• The excitement surrounding War 2 mainly stems from the addition of renowned Telugu actor Jr NTR. He gained fame through his role in SS Rajamouli's RRR and is set to portray the antagonist in War 2.
• In addition to this, there's substantial anticipation surrounding the film as it marks Ayan Mukherji's debut in the action genre. Mukherji, renowned for romantic comedies such as Yeh Jawani Hai Dewaani, is venturing into full-fledged action for the first time, adding to the buzz.
• In the previous part of War, we saw Hrithik Roshan’s character Kabir go against Tiger Shroff, who played the big baddie of the story.
