The SS Rajamouli-directed film RRR is making its presence known on the international stage. First, it was nominations for two Golden Globes awards, and now, it is 5 big nominations at the Critics Choice Awards.Â

The Critics Choice Association represents over 600 media critics and entertainment journalists in the US and Canada. And like the Golden Globes awards, the Critics Choice Awards also has a strong track record for predicting nominations at the Oscars.Â
RRR has been nominated for various awards alongside films such as Everything Everywhere All at Once (which leads the awards with 14 nominations), Top Gun: Maverick, Avatar: The Way of Water, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Babylon, Women Talking, etc.Â
RRR is based on the fictional tale of real-life revolutionaries Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju set in the 1920s pre-independent India. It stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles, alongside Alia Bhatt, Shriya Sharan, Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Ray Stevenson, and Alison Doody in pivotal roles.
