The legendary singer Elton John has officially concluded his touring career after an incredible 52 years on the road. His Farewell Tour culminated with a memorable show at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, on Saturday, July 8, serving as the last stop on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.

At 76 years old, the British singer, pianist, and composer expressed his gratitude to his fans during an emotional rendition of the song 'Your Song' and prior to his final track, 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.' He humbly addressed the crowd, saying, "I've been incredibly fortunate to have a truly remarkable career. These past 52 years of playing music have brought me immense joy. How lucky am I to have been able to play music for all of you?"

Elton John went on to extend his heartfelt appreciation to his devoted fans for their unwavering love and support. In a moving speech, he remarked, "But you know, I wouldn't be here talking to you right now if it weren't for all of you. You purchased the singles, the albums, the CDs, the cassettes, but most importantly, you bought the tickets to the shows. You know how much I adore performing live."

The five-time Grammy winner has undoubtedly embarked on a remarkable journey throughout his five-decade-long career on the road.

Reflecting on his final show at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, the singer shared his overwhelming emotions, stating, "Tonight has been nothing short of magical. It will take some time for me to fully grasp that my touring days have come to an end. I can't express enough how deeply I will miss the fans and how their unwavering support has touched me. It will remain etched in my heart forever."

During the show, Chris Martin, the lead vocalist and co-founder of Coldplay, who happened to be performing in Sweden at the same time, delivered a heartfelt message to Elton John and his band. He expressed, "Elton, on behalf of all of us here, as well as the countless bands and artists you've inspired and supported, we hold a deep affection for you. We love you immensely. Enjoy your well-deserved retirement, and we will greatly miss you, my friend."
