Following the announcement of Ariana Grande's divorce from Dalton Gomez, news broke of her relationship with Ethan Slater, an American actor, singer, and composer.

Slater officially filed for divorce from his high school sweetheart, Lilly Jay, in New York.

Lilly Jay and Ethan Slater had been together since 2012 and married in 2018, welcoming a son in 2022.

In an interview with Page Six, Jay shared her perspective on the situation, stating, "Ariana's the story really. Not a girl's girl," and expressing concern for her family, saying, "My family is just collateral damage."

Currently, Jay is focused on raising her son and being a devoted mother, aiming to protect their child during this challenging time.

Despite Lilly Jay's understandable upset about the marriage ending, an insider clarified that Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater did not play a role in the divorce. In fact, Slater had been separated from Jay for two months before he started dating Grande.

The blossoming romance between Ariana and Ethan began after both of them had already separated from their respective spouses. Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez ended their two-year marriage amicably due to scheduling challenges, but they remain friends.

The connection between Ariana and Ethan sparked while working together on the movie Wicked, where they met in late 2022 during filming. A viral photo from March captured them celebrating actress Michelle Yeoh's Oscar win in London, sitting side by side.

As Ariana Grande prepares to play Glinda in Universal's film adaptation of Wicked, set for release in November 2024, Ethan Slater takes on the role of Boq, the love interest of Elphaba's sister Nessarose.
