Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez heading for divorce after two years of marriage

Pop star Ariana Grande and her husband Dalton Gomez have decided to call it quits after being married for two years. There's been trouble in paradise since January, say sources. The couple has apparently been separated since January this year. 

The 30-year-old American singer-songwriter tied the knot with luxury real estate agent Dalton Gomez in May 2021. 

Sources told PageSix that although the ex-couple had been separated since January, they have remained cordial towards one another.

The source added, "They came to the decision together. They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends."

In a last attempt to save their marriage and reconcile, Dalton Gomez, 27, had gone to meet Grande on the set of Wicked in London, but "it didn’t work out" and the effort to save their marriage failed.

Ariana and Dalton have been good friends through this difficult time, and their friends and family have been supporting them in this difficult process. 

Ariana Grande first sparked marital problem rumours when she was spotted at a Wimbledon match without her engagement ring and wedding band on July 16, Sunday. The match was between Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and Serbia's Novak Djokovic. 

One of the issues that had made their marriage rocky was that the two were unable to find time for each other because of scheduling issues, a source told Entertainment Tonight.

Moreover, people close to Ariana and Dalton have apparently "always been concerned by their whirlwind romance and felt their relationship would ultimately be short-lived".

Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez's relationship and marriage have been very private, but, here's a tentative relationship timeline:

• February 2020: The singer and the real estate agent were spotted kissing at a bar in California, US.
• Early 2020: Ariana and Dalton started dating in early 2020, but made their relationship public in May 2020.
• December 2020: The two are engaged. She shared photos of her engagement ring. 
• May 15, 2021: Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez got married on May 15, 2021 in an intimate ceremony with less than 20 guests, at her Montecito home. Ariana Grande wore a Vera Wang dress for her nuptials. 

Dalton Gomez works for Aaron Kirman Group as a luxury home realtor. He has been working in the real estate market for 5 years and has sold multi-million dollar homes and works with high-end buyers.
