Angelica Ross, renowned for her performances in "Pose" and "American Horror Story," recently shared a revealing encounter involving Ryan Murphy and the acclaimed series, "American Horror Story."

Ross pitched the idea of a season with four Black women as the main cast, which Murphy initially accepted. However, he later went silent, failing to respond to any follow-up communications about the project.

What

  • Ross shared pictures of emails exchanged with the well-known producer since July 2020.
  • In these emails, Murphy appeared to confirm the upcoming season and sought Ross's input on who should be the main women in the show.
  • In an email dated July 3, 2020, Murphy told Ross: "Remember your idea about a Horror season starring Black women? Well, I'm doing it. Not sure of the story yet, but we will start a writers' room in the fall. Along with you, who are the four women I should get? I think you, Keke Palmer, Gabby... not sure of the fourth?"
  • In the same screenshot from July 3, 2020, Ross replied to Murphy's email.
  • She suggested a list of Black actresses who could be part of the season.
  • Later, Ross made a TikTok video where she said that Murphy didn't respond to her email follow-up.

Angelica Ross achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first transgender actress to have recurring roles in two series: FX's "American Horror Story: 1984" and "Pose."

In "Pose," she played Candy Ferocity, a ballroom performer who established her own house but still faced financial challenges.

Ross's revelation has raised eyebrows among fans and cast a shadow on the much-anticipated Season 12 of the series, titled "American Horror Story: Delicate."

The upcoming season also introduces Kim Kardashian, marking her acting debut.
