The Adam Levine Cheating Scandal, in a nutshell

Following a series of accusations, leaked messages and apologies, here is the entire scandal surrounding Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine summed (or should we say ‘Sumnered’) up.

First, some context: Adam Levine married his wife Behati Prinsloo, a Victoria’s Secret model, in 2014 and has shared a seemingly picture-perfect marriage ever since.

The couple have two daughters together: Dusty Rose, 5, and Gio Grace, 4.

And now, they are expecting their third child and were in the process of selecting a name for the baby. Here’s where things got interesting...

Enter Sumner Stroh: On September 19, Instagram model Sumner Stroh posted a video on TikTok, in which she claimed to have had a year-long affair with Levine and leaked screenshotted DMs from his official Instagram account as proof.

While the DMs aren’t the most concrete of evidence, they were certainly suggestive to say the least (if not borderline creepy and juvenile).

The DMs: Stroh shared an alleged flirty message Levine sent her, in which he reportedly wrote,

Levine also allegedly asked her, 

And it seems like she wasn’t the only one receiving suggestive DMs.

Alyson Rose, another Instagram model, claimed Levine sent her similar messages. In one, he reportedly referred to her as a “hot chick” and wrote, 

Another woman, who goes by the name Maryka, also reportedly received innappropriate messages from Levine in which he says,

Levine’s remarks on infidelity: In an interview with Cosmopolitan in 2009, aptly titled, “Fun, Fearless Males 2009: Adam Levine”, the singer remarked,

Later, in a 2012 interview with Hollywood Life, Levine said,

Why now? Sumner Stroh claims she wasn’t going to come forward, except that she’d already shared a screenshot of these messages with a friend who then made a deal to sell them to a tabloid, which somehow left her with no choice but to post them herself.

In an interview with Page Six, Stroh revealed that she and Levine had a physical relationship and were seeing each other for about a year.

The Mea Culpa: On September 20, Levine took to his Instagram Stories to address the accusations, saying,

Prinsloo reacts: According to an insider’s comments to ENews, Behati Prinsloo is "shocked to find out what was going on behind her back".
