Let's roll back to the year 1964 — and zoom right into The Great Russian Circus. Now, what would you expect to see? Let me tell you, whatever your answer may be, it is wrong.
For you will find a rather stubby Salman Khan — looking like a hybrid between Elvis Presley and Amitabh Bachchan from Yarana, struggling to move his waist. While a slithering Disha Patani flutters away in a yellow chiffon saree. If she reminds you of Raveena Tandon from Tip Tip Barsa Paani in one place and Katrina Kaif from Chikni Chameli in another, then your heart is in the right place.
No, we're not complaining. In fact, quite the opposite — we're ecstatic to be watching Slow Motion, the first song from the Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Disha Patani starrer Bharat.
Let's be honest — the song is pretty catchy. Trust bhaijaan to always deliver very hummable, crowd-pleasing tunes! And also trust him to always give you easily replicable dance moves — all for the masses. Shreya Ghoshal and Nakash Aziz's familiar voices have instant recall value and make you suspend your disbelief as you witness such a spectacle unfold in front of you — does that really look like 1964? Who knows — and who cares?
But since 'tis the season for asking not 'aam' but rather khaas questions, I have 3.
And I plan to throw them right at the makers — in slow motion, of course — just like how bhaijaan flung those knives at Disha.
Close shave!
Disha, how do you do that?
If there was a best slitherer in Bollywood award, we'd probably give it to Tiger Shroff. For obvious reasons. But looks like Disha poses a grave threat to Tiger's slithering ways. It looks like she has no bones, no cartilage, no nothing — she's like a dancing bobblehead stuck to your car's dashboard, going hysterical as you manoeuvre your way through the potholes!
Seriously, my head is spinning.
Salman, was it difficult moving your right knee like that?
Michael Jackson be damned, bhaijaan has revolutionised dancing — he's moved muscle, body parts, pieces of clothing and accessories to the beat in ways that no one could have possibly imagined.
This, while haters kept saying he has two left feet.
Now, take that, haters — bhaijaan just (only slightly) twisted his right knee. And that's proof that he doesn't have two left feet — he at least has a right knee.
Salman, did you just hint at another Tiger movie?
We know nothing Bhaijaan does is for nothing. So, when we spotted a caged tiger right behind him, we're immediately wondering if this a cue to his next offering — another sequel to Tiger, perhaps? And it makes perfect sense — the story of a spy who fell in love with the enemy, followed by the story of a spy who married the enemy, and now, the story of a caged tiger.
Until that announcement is made, we're watching 'Slow Motion' on loop. What about you?
