Netflix is all set to release another season of Shonda Rhimes's Bridgerton on March 25. The Regency-era show quickly became one of the most popular shows of the streaming giant and for good reason!
The first season of the show was based on Julia Quinn's book, The Duke and I, while the second season is based on The Viscount Who Loved Me, also by Quinn. The second focuses on the eldest Bridgerton, Anthony and the Sharma sisters: Kate and Edwina.

STORYLINE: Based on the official trailer, the show seems to be based on the 'enemies-to-lovers' trope between Anthony and Edwina's overprotective older sister, Kate. #MajorP&PThrowback

It seems that Kate acts as a chaperone to Edwina and handles her 'affairs' and in order to impress Edwina, Anthony needs to make efforts to convince Kate that he is not a complete rake. Ultimately, instead of Edwina, he falls in love with Kate. To better understand the dynamic between Anthony, Kate and Edwina, check out this video:
This season will delve into why Anthony is the way he is, Colin's shift in personality, the secret the Sharma sisters are hiding, Penelope's efforts to keep her dual identity secret, Eloise's first courtship season, Queen Charlotte's quest and the future of the Featheringtons... and a potential scandal. Phew!
THE INDIAN TOUCH: Other than a track from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, a sneak peek from the show also revealed that viewers will see Edwina having a haldi ceremony.
The video shows Kate and their mother, Mary Sharma applying haldi on Edwina. All three of them are seen in yellow outfits and viewers see Edwina worrying about a change in hers and Anthony's wedding date. Viewers also get to see the room covered in traditional marigold flowers.
