Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag has officially announced retirement from international cricket with a tweet on Tuesday. He also said that he would not participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) anymore.
Sehwag's tweet:
I hereby retire from all forms of international cricket and from the Indian Premier League. A statement will follow.

The Indian batsman on Monday hinted that he would call it quits at an event in Dubai on Monday. Sehwag was currently in Dubai to sign up for next year's Masters Champions League (MCL), a Dubai-based T20 tournament, which involves retired cricketers.
The batsman, though, has rubbished reports of his retirement. When he was asked how he could play as MCL is a retired cricketers' league, Sehwag said "If I am not retired I will not play. I will go back to India and announce my retirement."

As far as the entertainment goes Sehwag was to cricket what Salman Khan is to Bollywood. #ThankYouSehwag Thanks for the memories.

Virender Sehwag was undoubtedly the most talented batsman of his time. If he had the technical brilliance of Sachin, he'd have been Bradman

Sehwag's 293 was probably the most brutal assault I ever saw in a test match. Shame he didn't reach 300 that day.

Zaheer Khan and now Virender Sehwag. I just hope Ashish Nehra is not next.

It was my wild fantasy that Sehwag would would have one last dash and give us a final blazing hundred. Few made cricket as exciting as him
