Chhattisgarh police takes its job very seriously and even goats know it now. The worst nightmares of animal lovers came true on Sunday when cops in the state's Janakpur village put a male goat behind the bars for grazing from a neighbour's field, even slapping a trespassing charge against the dairy animal and its owner.
The bizarre turn of events proved that in the Naxal-hit region, even goats don't get a free pass if they go looking for greener pastures.
The goat, however, was lucky to get bail in a charge that carries seven years' imprisonment.
Meanwhile, social media rained batons on the cops for the great goat chase:

In Chhattisgarh, a trespassing goat has more chances of law catching up with it than goons attacking a female journalist for doing her job.
