How Fardeen Khan shut up body-shaming trolls

Public memory is blamed for being short-termed, and had it not been for Wikipedia and IMDb, we would have lost track of when Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan was last seen in a movie.

The No Entry actor hardly grabbed headlines for his acting prowess as much as he did for being '80s star Feroz Khan's son or when he was accused of allegedly carrying cocaine in early 2000s.

Call it being barely interested in films or partying around, we guess, Khan must have not have imagined the power of today's overcharged social media. It did the unimaginable: it shot him to fame.

Little did we know, Khan would make a comeback, although, in a slightly different avatar.

He was the latest victim of the low-on-EQ, high-on-vitriol internet trolls, who had a field day last week when the pictures of an overweight Khan went viral on social media.

Some even called him the next Bappi Lahiri in making:

But the actor's Facebook post silenced his trolls in the best way possible:

Khan writes: "Am I happy?? Emphatically!!!! In fact, living the happiest chapter thus far with lbs to show for it."

He didn't snap or engage in a dirt war with them. How cool is he?

While the actor thanked his fans for coming out in his support, he took on trolls by asking quite a telling question: "Would they still feel empowered to troll if the anonymity offered by social media platforms on the internet did not exist????"

In fact, the actor went a step further and posted this picture on his official Facebook page:

Now that's called being a sport! Way to go, Fardeen.
