The curious case of Uday Chopra's tweets: Finally, we solved the mystery

He knew from the beginning that Twitter was not Facebook; one has to be very cheeky or outrageous on Twitter.

Uday Chopra’s Twitter account is more interesting than any of his movies, be it Mohabbatein, Neal ‘n’ Nikki or even Dhoom.

We have not taken our cue from Chopra’s latest tweet batting for Marijuana.

We have done a recce of his past tweets and concluded that he has all the potential to becoming the next Twinkle Khanna of Bollywood — both born to famous Bollywood families, but not finding their calling in the profession tailor made to them, and then seeking greener pastures in something else — comedy. The process of our recce yielded some unbelievable results about the ‘believer of unblief’ (his Twitter bio says this).

Well, quite ahead of his time

If Bollywood stars have started taking their social media game seriously of late, Uday Chopra must be their torchbearer. Dhoom 3 was the last movie in which he was seen, and despite its success, which had nothing to with Chopra’s presence (He must have thought about it), Uday Chopra officially ended his acting career and concentrated on the international functioning of Yash Raj Films. The longest week, Grace of Monaco, Seducing Ingrid Berman are some of the Hollywood movies he produced.

Like many of us, he joined Twitter in 2009. But, he has been quite active even in the earlier days as well. It seems he knew from the beginning that Twitter was not Facebook; one has to be very cheeky or outrageous on Twitter, and remain open to all kind of harsh words.

So, in 2003, he wished Diwali a very happy birthday on the day of Diwali. Still, you didn't see this opinion of legalising marijuana coming?

Uday Chopra was funny. He thought so

One fine morning in 2016, Uday Chopra felt that he had lost his sense of humour and officially sought help.

I just googled

Last year, he took a sabbatical from Twitter. And this year, Twitter started taking him seriously all of a sudden during Karnataka Assembly elections. Being too naive for Twitter, he tweeted that he had googled the governor of Karnataka and what he found. Twitter users taught him a lesson that everyone had the privilege of using google search and they googled 'Uday Chopra'. And Twitter found its 'I just googled' meme.

Is he depressed? Or is he a Trump supporter?

The answer is: both. From time to time.
