The house is finally abuzz with energy. With Ankit's elimination, the mood of the contestants had turned rather solemn. Bigg Boss' new Do Bigha Zamin-inspired task stirred up the dormant housemates as well as the viewers, who frankly speaking, had enough of the Double Trouble drama.
With Kishwar and Aman as zamindars (landlords) and a partner-less Arvind as the supervisor of the task, rest of the housemates had to adopt the role of peasants who had to earn their way into restricted areas inside the house (which included the kitchen and washroom) through milling wheat manually and negotiating for the price for every packet of flour produced.
As the task progressed, the two zamindars tried to be exploitative by buying the packets at a low price, however after much convincing finally gave into the demands of the peasants and generously distributed coins that would give them entry into the house.
It wasn't the zamindar-peasant equation (as was predicted), that brought contention amongst the contestants, but the internal peasant arguments that made this episode absolutely entertaining and kept us engaged till the end.
The task tested the tolerance levels amongst the jodis was successful in bringing out pent up frustration. As Mandana tried to negotiate with Kishwar and Aman, Vikas and Keith, considered to be the two level-headed voices in the house, asked her to keep out of the deal. This irked the model, who is not too fond of authority as we all know by now, and led her to cry gender bias.
Meanwhile, an ambitious Rochelle complained about her partner Rimi, who lacked initiative and willingly refused to perform. Rochelle, who has her eyes on captaincy confided in her boyfriend to feeling stuck with an unwilling partner. Roopal, on the other hand, struck a deal with Aman to become his jodidaar as she was unhappy with the way Digangana performed.
Keith and Mandana were the highlight of the last episode. |
Unsurprisingly, highlight of the day were Mandana and Keith yet again. The two bickering partners remind one of an extremely unhappy married couple who cannot wait to get a divorce. The calm, composed voice of logic that Keith was yesterday, suddenly disappeared today. Calling Mandana "a difficult person", he lost all cool, leading to his partner removing her harness and breaking a crucial rule of the Bigg Boss house. Will this have an impact on the rest of the contestants?
As the task progressed, the tension levels in the house only increased. Kishwar and Suyyash, a couple who we have hardly had the chance to see together (given the spotlight on Rochelle and Keith) too had a tearful fight owing to the demands of the task.
The sneak peek of the next episode reveals that today will be more eventful with a rebellion against the zamindars in the works. The question is: Will the peasants determine who finally gets the "Do Bigha Zamin" in the Bigg Boss house or will Kishwar and Aman be able to hold the fort?
